Sunday Arches are Sam Juner, Ben Springett, Dom Juner, and Charlie Mackay.
The four schoolmates from Colchester spent long summers thrashing out late-teenage masterpieces in their parents’ living rooms. School finished, different paths were followed, and the band became little more than a precious memory. Fast forward a decade or so, Ben, Dom, Michael, and Sam met up under a railway arch in London brimming with new ideas.
Countless sell-out gigs, BBC 6Music radioplay, and multiple LPs, EPs and singles later, guitarist Charlie is welcomed to the band with Michael departing.
The first full length LP, ‘All That We Leave Behind’, released in 2024, explores the ever-narrowing field of time and possibility we all experience as we seek to pursue a life of meaning and joy.
2025 sees the band gaining momentum as they head out on a UK tour and begin work on the next record.
With a tight, dynamic sound, built on melodic foundations, the introspective lyrics teem with optimism while the music meanders between snappy indie hooks and explosive rock. Sunday Arches offer a sonic spectrum while keeping one eye on the pop ideals.
